ACT Test Prep

Carolyn Devane, Owner and Director of Power Prep, Inc., personally provided us with a 5-hour ACT Test Prep class that included practical and relevant information on how to help our Upward Bound students increase their ACT scores. Students learned how to control the test, use their time efficiently, and implement test-taking techniques to help improve their lowest scores and make their best scores higher!

The best part? Power Prep, Inc. is coming back next year to help even more students boost their game!

ACT Fee waivers

💸 The ACT Can Be Pricey... But Not for Upward Bound Students!

Taking the ACT can cost up to $65 a pop, and all the extras really add up. But here’s the good news — if you're part of Upward Bound, you get hooked up with TWO ACT Fee Waivers that come with a ton of perks:

✅ Covers registration for up to 4 national test dates (worth up to $260)
✅ Unlimited score reports to send to colleges (normally $19 each!)
✅ Free access to The Official ACT® Self-Paced Course, Powered by Kaplan® (a $159 value)
✅ ACT My Answer Key included on select test dates (usually $32–$40)

🎯 All together? That’s around $470+ in savings — seriously.

So yeah… Upward Bound is kind of a big deal when it comes to saving money and helping you crush the ACT.
