Summer Program
Upward Bound Summer Program Past Videos
The Summer Program, or College Simulation Experience, is an intensive five-week personal development period in which students live in a residence hall on campus. During this time they will receive instruction in academic courses (English, Math, Science, and Spanish...along with a few selections of our own), personal mentoring, exposure to cultural events, and other developmental activities that are not usually available to them.
At the end, we take a big trip. As always, it is paid for, and students have the opportunity to earn extra money by participating in work studies throughout the summer. Nothing compares to the experiences gained in this college simulation.
You learn responsibility as well as the Pythagorean theorem.
