Students are provided advice and assistance in secondary and postsecondary course selection as well as assistance in preparing for college entrance exams and with completing college admission applications. Informational sessions on the full range of Federal student financial aid programs and resources for locating public and private scholarships are also provided. Education/counseling services designed to improve the financial and economic literacy of students or the students’ parents/guardians, including financial planning for postsecondary education is heavily emphasized. ​

The Upward Bound Program at Neosho County Community College is 100 percent federally funded by the United States Department of Education, with an annual budget of $309,505 to serve 55 students. Award # P047A221025.
